Golang Software Engineer

Connamara Technologies is seeking a Golang Software Engineer to join our engineering team to extend, enhance, and support our exchange platform product, EP3^TM. We are seeking an engineer who will enhance our product’s offering by solving complex problems and debugging various scenarios. You will design and develop solutions, while focusing on our best practices of test-driven development and delighting our customers.

Your contributions to Connamara Technologies will include:

• Contributing to the development of Connamara Technologies products and services.
• Troubleshooting issues that may arise from the customer’s experience.
• Designing and developing new functionality to integrate with our core offering.
• Acting as an escalation point for qualified customer service incidents and application issues.
• Acting as a knowledgeable expert on the behavior of our platform.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our product offering or processes.

Required Skills

• Undergraduate Degree required; Computer Science, Engineering, or Math
• Experience with Go programming language
• Experience with gRPC
• Experience with Kafka is a plus
• Ability to solve complex software problems, design, develop, and debug solutions in a collaborative environment, using multiple languages.
• Understand the value of unit testing, test driven design, and agile development practices.
• Willingness to assist in level-3 production customer support issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience using GitHub
• Experience using Gherkin Cucumber testing frameworks
• Financial or Capital Markets experience
• FIX Protocol experience
